Performance of the Love Note captured Fanche at a transition point between the dense autobio strips she achieved great facility with in her earlier years as a cartoonist & an expansion of her narrative vocabulary that’s become increasingly evident in more recent work. An early example of Fanche letting her emotional insights be given the room to unfurl into a mode of storytelling that has made her one of the most exciting cartoonists to emerge from the American small-press scene this decade. This new edition features our first artist-designed cover & includes an updated ending.

Angela Fanche is a cartoonist living in Brooklyn, NY. In addition to her self-published titles, she’s released work with Cram Books, Domino Books, and appeared in numerous anthologies. She’s also the co-editor of Bernadette Magazine with Katie Lane & has had her work displayed as part of a variety of gallery shows in New York.
